Louise Macdonald
Trainee Clinical Psychologist
I’m a trainee clinical psychologist with 10 years of varied NHS experience. I’m currently completing the research component (thesis) for my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
I’ve supported people across the lifespan experiencing anxiety, low mood, physical health difficulties, trauma and cognitive difficulties within hospital and community settings, including Major Trauma Centres, Intensive Care, memory services, and stroke rehabilitation.
My therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored, offering a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental space. I aim to help you make sense of your experiences and support your well-being, personal growth, and quality of life.
Where helpful, I draw on our connection to nature and animals in supporting well-being. I am passionate about supporting people with physical health difficulties, particularly in the context of injury recovery and rehabilitation.
Outside of work, I enjoy quality time with my dog, exploring nature, keeping active and travelling.
